Edge vs, Randy Orton in a "straight-up wrestling match" is now official for Backlash.

Last night on Raw, The Viper made his way to the ring for an interview, and said he wasn't surprised that Edge didn't accept his challenge from last week right away as he saw the fear and doubt in his eyes. Of course, The Rated-R Superstar soon joined his nemesis in the ring and cut a promo of his own.

Edge basically repeated his rant about Orton not caring about the business and being handed everything on a silver platter, while he dreamed about being a WWE Superstar from an early age. It was passionately delivered, but Randy appeared to notice that he was treading over too much old ground and interrupted him by demanding an answer to his challenge.

Edge accepted, and the match was made official for the upcoming pay-per-view.

This is now being promoted as potentially the "greatest wrestling match of all time" so no pressure or anything.
