Edge Returns On RAW And Hits Randy Orton With An RKO Of His Own; Con-Chair-Tos MVP

Edge returned to Raw as advertised tonight, and it looks like he's healed up pretty well if the spear and RKO he hit on MVP and Randy Orton, respectively, are any indication. More past the jump...

Edge returned to Raw tonight to confront Randy Orton after The Viper's brutal attack on Beth Phoenix last week, and he did manage to gain a small measure of revenge.

The segment actually started with MVP, whose new gimmick appears to be trying to get established Superstars to be his clients before eating their finshers. In any case, Montel had his eye on The Rated-R Superstar, but all Edge wanted to think about was getting Orton to face him in the ring. When MVP taunted his wife, Edge hit him with a Spear, but almost immediately after Randy hit the ring and attempted an RKO.

Edge blocked it and hit one of his own, but when he went to get a couple of chairs to really tune him up, Orton slithered out of the ring, and poor MVP suffered the wrath of the Con-Chair-To (two, actually).

This was...fine? Edge certainly showed lots of intensity and they obviously don't want to do too much with three weeks to go until 'Mania, but MVP's involvement seemed very last minute and added nothing to the angle.

What did you guys think? Did you enjoy Raw overall? Let us know in the comments.
