Edge Takes A Shot At AEW Stars CM Punk And MJF During Heated Exchange With The Miz During RAW

Edge finally returned to RAW last night, and it didn't take long for The Miz - accompanied by Maryse! - to also make his way to the ring. The two men exchanged some heated comments, with The Miz pointing out that Edge was in the opening match of WrestleMania while he was main eventing the show with John Cena.

Edge countered with some comments about the A-Lister's recent stint on Dancing With The Stars, but the big news is that the Rated R Superstar decided to take a shot at AEW.

On Wednesday night's AEW Dynamite, CM Punk and MJF had a verbal clash that's already been praised as one of the greatest promos of all time. During that, Punk compared MJF to a "less famous Miz," and Edge's response to that was to say that "You have people saying your name just to get a cheap reaction."

We're not sure anything in that confrontation can be described as getting a "cheap reaction," and if this was WWE's attempt to counter what AEW did with Punk and MJF...well, it didn't work. Regardless, it seems the stage is being set for Edge vs. The Miz at the next WWE PPV, so we'll see how this storyline pans out.
