Elias Gets Nuclear Levels Of Heel Heat On RAW After Making Fun Of Seattle's Former Basketball Team

Making fun of a local sports teams has always been a great way to generate a bit of heel heat in wrestling, but Elias took that to a whole new level last night on Raw.

The Drifter was joined by Kevin Owens to promote their upcoming tag-match at Super Show-Down, and at one point Elias told the Seattle crowd that they didn’t deserve the SuperSonics, the NBA team that left a decade ago for Oklahoma City. This elicited a chorus of deafening boos that lasted throughout the entire segment.

Cheap heat? Sure, but this is still a very rare occurrence these days when many heels tend to be embraced and cheered by fans.

People will probably be back to chanting "Walk With Elias" next week, but this was genuinely awesome to witness.
