Elias returned to WWE TV a couple of weeks ago after being on the shelf with an injury, and a new report indicates that he may be in line for a big push as one of Raw's top Superstars.
According to Inside the Ropes, Elias is set to be positioned as "a staple of the red brand going forward," and was drafted to Raw specifically because the 3-hour run-time will allow him to be showcased more as a performer both in and out of the ring than he would have been on SmackDown.
Elias has had pushes cut short in the past (he was said to be in line for a substantial Intercontinental Championship run) due to injury, so this isn't that surprising. The "rock star" didn't fare particularly well as a babyface, but hopefully things will change now that he's a heel again.
Last week, The Drifter smashed a guitar over Jeff Hardy's back in retaliation for being run down (Sheamus was supposed to be the real culprit) a few months ago, and this past Monday, Hardy retaliated suring his concert. Both men are now set to face off at Hell in The Cell this Sunday.
