Elijah Holyfield & Anthony Luke Film WWE LFG Content, NXT Level Up Match Taped Before NXT

Before WWE NXT went down this week, content was filmed that will air on NXT Level Up as well as the new show WWE LFG, which will feature Evander Holyfield's son, Elijah.

Prior to the December 10, 2024 edition of WWE NXT, some content was filmed for future matches that will air on two other shows.

As per usual, WWE filmed some matches for NXT Level Up, which will air this Friday night on Peacock. At this time, only one match has been confirmed, which is Kendal Grey against Lainey Reid. This post will be updated with new information once those other spoilers have been confirmed.

Reid has wrestled consistently on NXT Level Up for the past year, in particular, nearly every week over the past few months since September, and likely came out on top compared to Grey, who has only won two matches since June.

But on top of the usual NXT Level Up taping, WWE also filmed at least one match for its upcoming new reality/competition series WWE LFG, set to premiere on A&E in early 2025.

That match featured Elijah Holyfield against Anthony Luke, both of whom have noteworthy trivia elements to them.

Anthony Luke is the current boyfriend of WWE Raw Superstar Maxxine Dupri, as well as a former defensive lineman for San Diego State University.

Elijah Holyfield is also a former football player, having played for the University of Georgia, as well as in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cincinnati Bengals, but was forced to cut his career short after only playing one game due to a knee injury he suffered while on the Bengals. But more importantly to his name is that he is the son of former Undisputed Heavyweight Boxing Champion Evander Holyfield, who infamously had part of his ear bitten off by Mike Tyson during their second fight back on June 28, 1997.

It is unknown at this time if any other matches or content was filmed for WWE LFG beyond this, as well as the outcome of their match, but that, too, will be updated if and when more comes out.

For those unaware, WWE LFG (aka WWE Legends and Future Greats) is a competition series reminiscent of Tough Enough, wherein there will be mentors (Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley) coaching some students of the WWE Performance Center showcasing the trials and tribulations of becoming a WWE Superstar. The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H are advertised to be making appearances as well.
