Eric Bischoff Shares His Thoughts On Being Excluded From The nWo's Planned WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

Last December, WWE announced that the nWo - Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman - would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year (which obviously didn't happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

However, there was a lot of backlash at the time due to the fact Eric Bischoff was excluded despite a) creating the faction, and b) being part of it on WCW television. Honestly, it's surprisingly that he's not already a WWE Hall of Famer, and many fans wondered if it's WWE's continuing attempts to lessen WCW's legacy.

During a recent interview with talkSport, Bischoff weighed in on that. "It’s a subject that I hear about every year. I’ve gotten pretty used to it over the years to just go ‘eh, whatever. I mean, I’m not going to lie and say I didn’t go ‘really?’ But my reaction was probably more ‘Really? Whatever, I’m good.’ First of all, the nWo the idea, the phenomenon – I think we can talk about the nWo concept in terms of it being a phenomenon because it still exists today."

"The fact that WWE acknowledged the NWO, that made me feel really good," he continued, reflecting on the faction's legacy and the love it still receives from fans. "It probably displaced any personal hurt or feeling left out, because I was so grateful that they finally went ‘OK, this s*** was pretty cool and pretty important to the industry. We have to acknowledge it.’"

"My acknowledgment of the fact that I wasn’t included in it was so insignificant that it lasted maybe a brief second, and that was it," he concluded, making it clear that he's not too bothered about being snubbed.

What do you guys think?
