In a new interview, Eric Bischoff has touched on his new role in WWE as
SmackDown Live's Executive Director. While he hasn't started working on the show just yet, fans are intrigued to see what the man once in charge of WCW is bringing to the table but is he seeking career redemption?
"What can I do to meet and exceed everybody’s expectations?" he asks. "That’s really the way I look at it. I’m really not looking at it within the context of anything else that’s ever happened before."
As for what he believes has changed about producing a wrestling TV show since he was in charge of WCW, he adds: "The honest answer is, I’ve got a lot to learn between now and the time I actually am fully integrated into the process, because the audience has changed. Television has changed. So much has changed over the last five or seven years that I’ve got some catching up to do. I’m not going to sugarcoat it."
While fans definitely have faith in Paul Heyman, the same can't be said about Bischoff (at least not 100%) but he delivered a lot of great storylines in WCW and is hopefully going to make SmackDown Live a must-see show, particularly when it moves to FOX this Fall.
