Erick Rowan Reveals Whether There Was Any Truth To Rumors About Bo Dallas Joining The Wyatt Family

Bo Dallas is a former NXT Champion, but as soon as he arrived on the main roster...well, it was all downhill from there. He was certainly given the opportunity to entertain us in some fun angles, but it was clear from the start that Vince McMahon didn't view Bo as someone who could be a top star.

Way back in 2017, there were rumours WWE planned to add Dallas to The Wyatt Family due to the fact Bray Wyatt is his brother (something that was only vaguely referenced on television).

Now, Erick Rowan has revealed whether there was any truth to those claims. "No [there were never any such plans]," he confirmed in an interview with SKWrestling"Because it’s a character, not real life." This isn't overly surprising in some ways, though even before Dallas' release there were rumblings he might be enlisted to work alongside Wyatt in his new Fiend persona.

These days, he's enjoying running a farm alongside Liv Morgan, and they've even started a family real estate business. Clearly, he's preparing for life after his pro wrestling career.

In the same interview, Rowan recalled the origins of The Wyatt Family in NXT. "[Bray] did some sort of vignettes with Dusty [Rhodes], and it was completely kind of a different thing, and then, when they finally decided to kind of go with it, I know Brodie was going to be like the first son of, you know, Bray. He was just called the first son, and he was on NXT for a couple of weeks, and NXT had started separating itself from main roster stuff to being its own entity and show."

"Then like, maybe three days before because we had done things backstage, like, I tried different promos with them, but like I would wear different masks, no masks, jammer bottoms, I didn’t know what I was going to wear. It was like two days before one of the NXT tapings; they were like, ‘Okay, you are going to be the second son of Bray, which was funny because we were older than him. But it’s funny, and it just kind of evolved from there with the rocking chairs and all that stuff."
