After weeks of promos, it's been confirmed that Eva Marie will make her return to RAW next week.
We had wondered whether WWE might wait until fans were back before introducing us to the "Eva-Lution," but it seems the plan is to build heat for a few weeks before fans inevitably tear Eva apart. Of course, it's entirely possible that she'll no longer have that "go away" heat we saw become a major part of her gimmick both in NXT and on the main roster.
Eva was released three years ago, but signed a new deal with WWE last October. These vignettes started airing last month, and the company clearly feels the fanbase she's built since her departure could bring a lot of new eyes to RAW every Monday.
In related news, it's also been revealed that when Eva does return, she'll have a bodyguard as her "muscle."
Names thrown around include NXT UK Superstar Piper Nivel and Mercedes Martinez (she's in the midst of feuding with Tian Sha on NXT, so it's unclear whether she'd be called up now).
Regardless, it sounds like Eva will be wrestling, so it should be very interesting seeing how she factors into the women's division, particularly as Charlotte Flair is in the midst of feuding with RAW Women's Champion Rhea Ripley. It would be quite the upset to see Eva take that title, eh?
