Memorial Day weekend is all about honouring and mourning the military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Needless to say, our thanks go out to every brave man and woman who made the ultimate sacrifice while fighting for their country, and our thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends as well.

Over the years, WWE has marked Memorial Day by having its Divas show their patriotic sides in photoshoots that put the red white and blue front and centre on this very American holiday.

Things have changed a lot in WWE over the years, and we'll forever be grateful that the decision was made to #GiveDivasAChance. Now, the women's division is every bit as important as the men's, and in recent years, we've seen Superstars like Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Charlotte Flair headline the company's biggest shows, including WrestleMania.

However, there are plenty of fans who look back fondly on that Divas era (beyond the mostly forgettable matches), and many of the women who competed at that time remain proud to hold the title.

With all that in mind, we thought you guys might enjoy celebrating this year's Memorial Day weekend with some throwback photos - shared by WWE - featuring the likes of Trish Stratus, The Bella Twins, Naomi, Renee Young, Torrie Wilson, and more all showing off their love of the US of A...
