It's been revealed today that former IMPACT Wrestling backstage announcer McKenzie Mitchell has signed a contract with WWE. No specific details have been revealed but she's confirmed that she will serve as an on-air host, so we'll presumably see Mitchell as a backstage interviewer.

Mitchell worked with IMPACT from 2016 until this past January and her hiring comes just as WWE is looking to split the rosters again (meaning they'll need more backstage interviewers and the like).

This is a great move by WWE and Mitchell will presumably be given a new name when she starts appearing on television. Clearly, her work in IMPACT impressed WWE officials. How do you guys feel about this news? Let us know your thoughts on that in the comments section below!
