Former multi-time Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin will remain with the WWE for a little bit longer.
During an interview on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast, the 44-year-old revealed that he’s just re-signed a multi-year contract with the company, though he never goes into details regarding his new deal.
Benjamin made his return to the promotion back in early 2017; however, he hasn’t been featured prominently on television. Despite the RAW star’s lackluster second stint with the WWE, Benjamin is a decorated talent as he’s mostly notable for his first stint back in 2000 to 2010.
Benjamin had memorable matches against the likes of Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, and Eddie Guerrero. The South Carolina native also made a name for himself within the Money in the Bank ladder matches including the first bout that was introduced at WrestleMania 21. He’s a former multi-time Intercontinental and World Tag Team Champion, along with a previous United States title reign under his belt.
