It appears that Road Dogg will be working the NXT brand going forward.

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Brian “Road Dogg” James is now working in the developmental brand full time. His role backstage is unknown at the moment, but Johnson states that the former WWE Tag Team champion began working at the WWE Performance Center recently.

It was reported shortly after WrestleMania that Road Dogg left the position as lead writer on WWE Smackdown due to his frustration with Vince McMahon continuously making changes to the script. It was expected for Brian to remain with the company; however, his role was not set until just recently.

James made a cameo during the WWE Performance Center combine, which aired on the WWE Network on Sunday afternoon. James' D-Generation X ally Triple H is the founder and senior producer of the brand while Shawn Michaels is one of the coaches and producers.
