WWE has confirmed that Jorge Bolly (Lucha Underground’s King Cuerno) and Edgar Lopez are the newest recruits down at the Performance Center.
Now going under the name of Jorge Bolly, the former El Hijo del Fantasma made his name on the independent wrestling scene. In addition to playing King Cuerno on Lucha Underground for four seasons, Bolly was a big star down in CMLL and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
The 35-year-old is a former AAA World Cruiserweight Champion, AAA Fusión Champion, CMLL World Middleweight Champion, and CMLL World Trios Champion. It was reported earlier this year by Dave Meltzer that the former Lucha Underground star would be headed to the Performance Center in Florida.
Edgar Lopez is less known in the wrestling scene, as the Mexico native played football on Monterrey Institute of Technology’s Borregos Salvajes squad, where he served as the offensive captain.
Last month, the WWE Performance Center introduced nine new signees, including EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory and former Mae Young Classic competitor Santana Garrett.
