Back in early January, it was reported that former NXT champion Sami Zayn was down at the WWE Performance Center training in Orlando, Florida for his in-ring return.

Now, according to Dave Meltzer, the RAW superstar has been medically cleared to compete and could return at any moment. There aren’t any plans for Zayn in the current schedule, as WWE officials are discussing ways to bring back the Canada native as soon as possible.

Word going around is that the company doesn’t even know if they’re going to put Zayn back on the RAW roster, so we could see another situation like Matt Hardy and Kevin Owens.

Zayn was injured and had to undergo double shoulder and rotator cuff surgery in June 2018. WWE did air a return video for Sami on RAW back in December, but the Superstar made it clear during his interview with Chris Jericho that he wasn't ready for an in-ring return at that moment.
