Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa Reiterates His Lack Of Interest In Moving To RAW Or SMACKDOWN

Tommaso Ciampa very nearly ended up on the main roster earlier this year but he's now made it clear that he's happy calling NXT his home and isn't interesting in "moving up" to RAW or SmackDown...

Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa recently caught up with Lillian Garcia and during the course of their conversation, he made it clear that he has no desire to move to the "main roster."

He made it clear that he believes in NXT and due to his neck injury and surgery earlier this year, he knows he's limited in terms of how many matches he can realistically have on a weekly basis, hence why the gold and black brand suits him more than working 200+ a days on RAW or SmackDown

"I could do four years of that in the time that I do that in one year in Raw and SmackDown so how long can my career and portfolio grow here as opposed to growing there?" he said.

"Now, it’s become a thing where I’ve legitimately vocalized to them like, ‘If I have to go to Raw or SmackDown, then I’m gonna retire and I would love to produce or coach or be a part of it. There’s no way I taking on that load and going, ‘Yeah, you know what? I’ll just have a six-month run and then call it quits.’ I just won’t do it, It’s just not worth it to me."
