When SmackDown moved to the USA Network, new announce teams were created and RAW ended up with Vic Joseph, Dio Maddin, and Jerry "The King" Lawler. It didn't take long until Maddin was written off television, and then Joseph disappeared shortly after the Royal Rumble PPV.
Since then, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton have joined "The King" on Monday nights, and Joseph's status has been left up in the air. Well, he's now announced that he will be part of the Cleveland Cavaliers coverage on the NBA Network for the second half of the season.
He's previously worked in Cleveland sports media, and while Wrestling Inc. says that Joseph is still employed by WWE, it seems they have no issues with him working elsewhere and that could mark the beginning of the end for him as part of the company. That's a shame, of course, but WWE already has its fair share of commentators.
We'll keep you updated, but wish Joseph all the best with his new role in the meantime!
