On Monday night's episode of RAW, Becky Lynch revealed to the world that she's pregnant and presented her RAW Women's Championship to Miss Money in the Bank Asuka. It goes without saying that we won't see "The Man" for the next year or so, but what about beyond that?
As a new mother, it's impossible to imagine Lynch ever working a full-time WWE schedule again, and Dave Meltzer has argued that there's a chance we won't see former RAW Women's Champion wrestle again down the line.
"[In] her speech, she never addressed the issue of coming back," he starts. "Far more than men, a lot of women leave wrestling young, largely to have real lives that the old wrestling schedule really didn't allow."
"Few of the women on the circuit have kids, and the ones who want them usually leave. Beth Phoenix and Trish Stratus were most notable for leaving and then starting a family. Mickie James did return full-time. Brie Bella returned, but never wrestled much after giving birth. This was the first time in American pro wrestling when a major league promotion world champion vacated her title due to pregnancy."
It's no secret that Lynch has received interest from Hollywood (she recently appeared in Billions and is reportedly in an upcoming movie or TV show), so we could see her transition into that after she's spent some time at home.
For now, we'll have to wait and see.
