Eric Bischoff wasn't in charge of SmackDown for long, and his stint as the blue brand's Executive Director ended before it could really get started. Recently, he returned to TNT for the first time since WCW was on the air to make a surprise appearance on All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite, and fans are now wondering if he might have a future there.
During a recent interview with Sportskeeda's UnSKripted with Chris Featherstone, Bischoff pointed out that he believes WWE's main issue at the moment is the quality of storytelling they're delivering.
"Storylines suck right now. They suck," he started. "Storylines are getting worse and worse. This the one thing that I feel adamant about. You look at what WWE did at SmackDown (at) ThunderDome over the weekend. Such a phenomenal job from a production point of view."
"What they’re not good at is basic fundamental storytelling," Bischoff continued. "They’re just not. I love them and I have many friends there, who I love dearly. It doesn’t change the fact that their storyline, the architecture, their approach to stories, their discipline with stories, sucks."
Bischoff would later point out that he believes until someone shakes things up in WWE, nothing will change, and the storylines they deliver will continue to be hit-and-miss. Honestly, that's a sentiment it's hard to disagree with!
