With SmackDown Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods moved to RAW (meaning they're now the RAW Tag Team Champions), Big E is all by himself on SmackDown. WWE is reportedly planning to push the former Intercontinental Champion as a singles star, though time will tell how that pans out.
Recently, Big E was a guest on Corey Graves' "After The Bell" podcast, and he shared his thoughts on The New Day's run reaching its end.
"I think for us, obviously we had our promo with the three of us saying our goodbyes," he started. "One of the things that was important for us was we always had our in-ring promos that were nonsense and shenanigans. But, we wanted this to feel real to let people know how we really felt."
"One of the things for me is not just the fact that I was together for 6 years with two guys who I call my friends and my brothers, but I think back to all the stuff we did outside of the ring as well."
The New Day's farewell was certainly emotional, and we now just have to hope that WWE is able to make the split work. If not, it probably won't be too long before they get back together.
What do you guys think?
