Cain Velasquez has finally made his way to the WWE.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion shocked the wrestling community last night by confronting newly crowned WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar.
Rey Mysterio introduced the UFC Fighter, who was looking to get revenge on “The Beast Incarnate” after his vicious assault on Mysterio and Dominic this past Monday. This brief confrontation between the former UFC rivals would ultimately see Velasquez stand tall and tease a future rematch between the two heavyweights.
Despite Velasquez making an appearance on the blue brand, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion makes it clear on
ESPN that he’s yet to sign a deal with the company; however,
MMA Junkie reports that Cain intends to withdraw from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool, thus signaling the end of his fighting career.
UFC did know about Velasquez’s appearance on Smackdown and gave him the okay. There’s no word on when Lesnar and Velasquez could meet; however, it's being speculated that their match could happen as soon as Crown Jewel on Oct. 31 or WrestleMania 36 in 2020.
