The former WWE United States Champion updates fans on his condition.
It was reported back in February that the Lucha House Party member suffered a shoulder separation at the end of December 2019. Luckily for the 33-year-old, the injury isn’t severe enough for surgery, but Kalisto does state during the video that the recovery period will take longer than expected.
Since then, Kalisto has been off of television; however, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik have been fighting more on the blue brand recently. With the recent wave of cuts and the absence of Kalisto, fans have been wondering whether the former Cruiserweight Champion was still with the company, and the WWE star simply wanted to set the record straight and update everyone on his current status.
Despite voicing his frustration over the way he was being used in WWE, Kalisto reportedly signed a new deal with the promotion earlier this year. The exact details of the contract are unknown; however, WWE has been offering lucrative five year deals for talents to re-sign so it wouldn’t be a surprise if that’s the case with Kalisto.
At the moment, there’s no timetable for when Kalisto will make his return to the squared circle. His teammates have been used a lot more lately as Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik got a surprising win over former WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz and John Morrison on Smackdown last week.
