It appears that the inaugural Universal champion is set for a huge push.

This would explain Balor defeating the heavily protected Drew McIntyre as the company is in dire need of top babyfaces due to Roman Reigns indefinite departure.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter doesn’t specify whether Balor will get a second run with the Universal championship, but its noted that Balor's push will be significant for a while.

The company put a rocket on the former NXT champion as soon as he arrived on the main roster, as he defeated Seth Rollins for the Universal championship at Summerslam 2016; however, Balor was forced to relinquish the title due to injury and since then, he’s been stuck in the mid-card scene of RAW.
