For months, rumors have swirled that John Cena would be taking on the Undertaker at this year’s WrestleMania. The recent picture of Taker working out and Cena acknowledging that he would like to face the deadman on RAW, only fueled the rumors even more.

However, that might not actually be the case.

It seems that Rey Mysterio will be returning to the WWE after all and may be the man to face Cena at WrestleMania 34. Mysterio was backstage visiting at Monday’s RAW live event in San Diego, his hometown. Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reports that Mysterio was also backstage for tonight's SmackDown TV tapings in Los Angeles to finalize details for the deal that will see him work WrestleMania in New Orleans.

Barrasso added that Rey's rumored opponent is Cena.

Rey recently returned to the company as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. The former World Heavyweight has made it known that he would like one last run with the company before he officially retires.
