It sound like there's more to Andrade's recent Wellness Policy violation than meets the eye. According to former WWE Spanish-Language announcer Hugo Savinovich (who also broke the news about those issues between Vince McMahon and the Saudi Crown Prince at
Crown Jewel), there's a very good chance that he's innocent.
"The situation with Andrade bothers me a lot because I have been one of those people supporting him 100 percent – his reputation, his professionalism and his family lineage," he explains. "Now, while studying this case, I’ve found out some things. Wrestlers in the company have much more information on this and how the drug testing works."
He went on to compare the situation to what happened with Primo Colon (he failed simply because he refused to fly from Puerto Rico to the United States to take the test). Andrade was on vacation with Charlotte Flair in December, so if declined to cut that short, then it could explain why he ended up failing.
Savinovich adds that, "Wrestlers in WWE have commented about this situation in the locker room, a world where you’ll hear all sorts of things. Andrade, I dare say it publicly, I understand is innocent." He adds that the United States Champion wasn't given the chance to defend himself before the suspension was announced and it will be interesting seeing if any more comes of this.
We'll let you guys know if we hear more.
