Jinder Mahal will be staying with the WWE for the forseeable future, as
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that the former WWE Champion has signed a five-year deal with the company. Satin has previously reported the signings of Mojo Rawley, and Mike & Maria Kanellis.
The Smackdown Live star has had two stints with the promotion, the first beginning from 2010 to 2014, and his second starting in 2016. In addition to being a former WWE Champion, Mahal is a former United States title holder as well. The WWE Superstar has also been caught up in the shenanigans with the 24/7 championship, winning the gold twice; The first time he won it on a golf course and the second was in an airport tarmac.
With both stints combined, Mahal has been in the company for nine years thus far. The company has been issuing long-term contract deals to lock up talent and not worry about any of their wrestlers being tempted to leave for another promotion.
