Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal has provided fans with an update on his in-ring status and when he hopes to make a return. The last time he was seen was June when he battled Ali at a WWE Live event. It was there that he suffered a knee injury which would require surgery.

Now, Fan Buzz's Chris Featherstone has reached out to Mahal for an update and he told him that he will be returning "not until the new year at earliest."

Common sense says that the Modern Day Maharajah will be back in time for the Royal Rumble PPV and while it's unlikely WWE will have any major plans for him, there's a chance he could receive a push heading into WrestleMania season.

We'll be sure to keep you guys updated as we learn more.
