Jinder Mahal is back, and it looks like a decent push may be in his future.
Introduced as "former WWE Champion," Mahal took on Akira Tozawa on Raw in what amounted to little more than a squash match. After flinging the former Cruiserweight Champion around for a bit, The Modern Day Maharajah hit a running Samoan Drop (new) and finished his opponent off with the Kalas.
Tozawa has been having fairly competitive matches lately, so to see him decimated like this does suggest that WWE may be getting behind Jinder in a big way. The last time we saw him he was landed with that silly "Shanti" guru gimmick, so it's nice to see him being more aggressive at the very least.
We're just speculating here, but could Mahal be lined up as a future opponent for Drew McIntyre? They are close friends with lots of history, so there's good material for a feud.
