John Cena is now a member of the Suicide Squad!

The former WWE Champion was confirmed for the 2021 movie by writer/director James Gunn himself.

The superhero movie is a sequel to the 2016 hit, which starred Will Smith, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, and Margot Robbie with David Ayer as the director. There’s no word on who Cena will play in the movie, though there has been speculation that the former multi-time Champion would be playing the role of peacemaker.

In addition to John Cena, stars Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman will reprise their respective roles. The movie is expected to start filming this month in Atlanta, Georgia.
