Former WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz Reveals How He "Really" Feels About Daniel Bryan
The Miz and Daniel Bryan have had one of the longest-running on and off rivalries in WWE history, and in a new interview, The Awesome One explains how he really feels about his nemesis. More past the jump...
It's only a matter of time before Daniel Bryan and The Miz mix it up in the ring again, and both men have been taking a few jabs at the other at every given opportunity.
Of course, most of their jibes are interpreted as your standard wrestling promo "work" - but there does seem to be some genuine animosity between the long-standing rivals, and during an interview with Gorilla Position, The Miz revealed the "real" reason he takes issue with The Leader of the YES! Movement.
"[He is] one of the most talented in-ring performers that WWE has ever seen behind me. He is incredible in the ring and he was credible on the mic, he creates sympathy. I also think that, how do you put this? Daniel Bryan looks like he doesn't want the attention but he does. He acts like he doesn't want the notoriety but he does. If he didn't want -- I say it through and through -- I want notoriety I want people to look and see what I want, you know what I mean? I want people to say 'wow The Miz is doing this, this, and this.' Daniel Bryan kinda pushes it off and says: 'no, no, no.' But he really does. Because if he didn't then he would have left WWE but he liked the attention."
The Miz is very good at blurring the lines between work and shoot, and if you watch the rest of the interview (see below) it seems clear that he's cutting a promo here. Still, that doesn't necessarily indicate that he doesn't mean what he says.
What do you guys think about Miz's remarks? Sound off below.
