WWE shocked everyone when they released over 40 employees a couple of weeks ago, and while it was hard to believe that the likes of Kurt Angle, Zack Ryder, and Fit Finley had all been fired, it was even more shocking to see referee Mike Chioda among the lost of names.
He's been serving in that role for the company for over thirty years, so the fact his career has now reached its end is mind-blowing. No explanation has been given for his release beyond the fact that WWE was looking to save money during the COVID-19 pandemic, but as you can see below, he's now taken to Twitter to comment on his release.
