AJ "Lee" Mendez recently sat down with Kristine Leahy of Fair Game to talk about a number of topics. However, it didn't take long until her wrestling career was brought up and she made it clear that she would "never say never" if fans were to ask about her stepping back inside the ring.
"I say, never say never," she confirmed. "Every time I have said never in my life, I have ended up doing the thing. Like, ‘Oh my god, I’m never going to date a wrestler. I will never date another wrestler.’ Then it keeps going and I married one. I say that I don’t know what the future holds, to not hold your breath, but never say never."
It doesn't sound like she's overly keen on returning to the world of pro wrestling then and she has been gone for a while now.
When it comes to a WWE return that seems highly unlikely based on how they treated her husband CM Punk but with All Elite Wrestling taking off in a big way, surely they could convince her to make a return? For now, it seems we'll have to wait and see...and "never say never"!
