Joey Mercury (whose real name is Adam Carlson Birch) is perhaps best known for being part of the MNM tag team in WWE alongside Johnny Nitro in the mid-2000s and for later becoming part of CM Punk's Straight Edge Society. In recent years, however, he took on a backstage role before quietly being let go in 2017 after another on air role as one half of J&J Security alongside Jamie Noble.
Since then, he worked for Ring of Honor and was supposed to be behind the scenes of Saturday night for All In. Unfortunately, that didn't happen because he was arrested outside of a Marriot Hotel on Saturday morning where he was found sleeping in his car. When police ran his information, they discovered that there was an outstanding warrant for him in Orange County, Florida, and he was taken in.
What's the warrant for? That hasn't been revealed but he's been held on a $2500 bond with a court date set for tomorrow. Ultimately, this will more than likely lead to him being extradited to Florida and depending on the severity of whatever his crime may or may not have been, his time with Ring of Honor could now be limited. We'll be sure to keep you updated, though, so stay tuned for more.
