talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy recently spoke to Christian about his WWE career, and after revealing that he wasn't involved with Edge's rivalry with Randy Orton because he's on WWE's non-contact list, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has now explained why he's never made a comeback.
Christian has had similar concussion issues to Daniel Bryan, and after his miraculous return to the squared circle, why hasn't the future WWE Hall of Famer been able to do the same thing?
"They’re different injuries," he said. "I just think that there’s not enough known yet about concussions and those sorts of things. My situation is much different than Daniel Bryan’s. He was, what, in his early 30s when this happened? I was in my 40s, so very different parts of our careers, and I feel like I’m content with what I accomplished."
"I just don’t feel the need to go back and dip my toes in the water at all," he concluded, closing the door once and for all on the possibility of him every stepping back into the ring for another match.
The only thing left for Christian in WWE is to receive a WWE Hall of Fame induction, something which is understandably long overdue at this stage. Time will obviously tell whether that happens, though.
