Former WWE Superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson isn't one of those celebrities that preaches politics on his social media accounts, and he's remained neutral in front of the public for his career both in the ring and out of it. Now, though, he's endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President.
One of the biggest actors in Hollywood, the actor has 199 million Instagram followers and 14.8 million Twitter followers. That gives him a huge online reach, and means he's bringing former Vice President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris's bid for the White House a lot of attention it otherwise might have missed out on.
The McMahon family are big supporters of the Republicans and President Donald Trump (Linda McMahon even works for him), so it's unclear how they will react to this news and what they will think of The Rock providing a video message for Ken Shamrock's upcoming induction into the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Check out Johnson's Instagram post below:
As a political independent and centrist for many years, I’ve voted for Democrats in the past and as well as Republican. In this critical election, I believe Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are the best to lead our country, and as my first ever (public) Presidential endorsement, I proudly endorse them for the presidential office of our United States. Progress takes courage, humanity, empathy, strength, grit, kindness and respect. Being KIND & RESPECTFUL to one another will always matter. Now we must ALL VOTE, so hit the link up top 👆🏾 and I’ll help you get it done. #BidenHarrisJohnsonSummit #ProgressThroughHumanity #VOTE2020 👊🏾
