It was last year that we first heard rumblings about Eva Marie returning to WWE, and it looked like it was definitely going to happen at one point. Unfortunately, it didn't. While the former Total Divas star had a lot of heat with fans, she improved greatly thanks to her time in NXT and was showing real potential before her sudden release from the company.
Talking to Muscle & Fitness, Marie confirmed that she's been in talks with WWE and is simply waiting for "the right moment" to step back into the squared circle.
"When it comes to me stepping back in the ring, absolutely," Marie said. "I mean, I feel like now is the time for some heat and we all know your girl got a lot of that. So, I would love to definitely step back into the ring, it just has to be the right time and the right moment, and if that opportunity arises, you better believe your girl is coming through."
"I love WWE so much," she continued. "I owe my career to Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and of course, Triple H. They took a chance on a no-name kid. I’m so grateful that I started in WWE, because it prepared me for walking on to a TV set, or a movie set."
There have been rumours Marie will be brought in as a valet for WWE Performance Center recruit Parker Boudreaux, but WWE is clearly taking its time with making her return a reality.
