A lot was made of Mike Kanellis asking for his WWE release over Twitter last December, but despite being seen as unprofessional by some, most felt it was understandable given the horrendous angles the talented wrestler had been landed with ever since joining the company.

Kanellis, aka Mike Bennett, wasn't granted his release, and only left WWE last month as part of the company-wide purge which also left the likes of Zack Ryder, Rusev and The OC out of a job.

Now, Mike has shared a video he filmed just two days after requesting his release.

Bennett says he posted the video because he knows many other people go through the same thing and feel the way he felt at the time, and still does.

Mike was a staple of several other promotions before coming to WWE, including Impact and ROH, so we're sure he will land on his feet eventually. Still, this can't have been an easy time for him or his family, and we hope he is in a better place.
