There were a lot of great surprises during last night's Royal Rumble match but it was MVP who received one of the biggest pops of the night. While he didn't last particularly long in the match after coming face to face with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, it was a memorable moment and one a lot of fans didn't expect.

This return marked MVP's first WWE match since 2010 (he did appear backstage during RAW 25 in 2018) but why did he decide to make such a brief appearance during last night's PPV?

Well, as you can see below, the fan-favourite wrestler - who was decked out in gear inspired by Black Panther villain Erik Killmonger - chose to come back so his son could see him in a WWE ring...and so he could hang out with some old friends!
