Former WWE Superstar Ryback Asks Triple H And Vince McMahon To End $200,000 Legal Battle Over His Name

After leaving WWE, Ryback legally changed his name to "Ryback Reeves" but a legal battle is now underway over the rights to use that and he's asked the company to move on and avoid a legal battle over it...

Former WWE Superstar Ryback has taken to Twitter to publicly ask both Triple H and Vince McMahon to end the battle for the trademark for the "Ryback" name. He says it wasn't even created by them and that forcing him to spend $200,000 to keep it is petty and unnecessary.

In December, Ryback revealed that WWE chose to refile for the name on the final day before he was finally set to get his hands on it and, honestly, it's hard to see why WWE would want it. After all, it's not like they're going to create a "new" Ryback and there's not actually a huge demand from WWE fans for new t-shirts featuring the name when he hasn't worked there for quite a few years now.

Whereas WWE wouldn't use it, them winning this legal battle would leave Ryback seriously out of pocket and means he can't create his own merchandise with his name on it or even use it for his YouTube channel!

With any luck, they'll see sense, but we'll keep you guys updated.
