Former WWE Universal Champion Goldberg Comments On A Possible Return To The Ring: "Never Say Never"
When Brock Lesnar defeated Goldberg to win the universal title, moist of us assumed the former WCW legend would be hanging up his boots for good. However, it sounds like "Da Man" is keeping his options open...
After Bill Goldberg lost the universal championship to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33, he gave a speech on the following night's episode of RAW which many took as confirmation that he was retiring for good - but there may be a couple of spears and jackhammers left in Da Man yet.
During an interview with WWE.com, Goldberg was asked about a possible return to the ring, and it definitely sounds like he's not prepared to rule anything out:
"Ask your boss! [Laughs] Hey, man, never say never, dude. Stranger things have happened. I did sit [around] for 13 years and then suddenly appear back in the ring. Let's just say it ain't gonna take nearly the effort to get me ready again that it did last time. So, I'll see you on the rebound for damn sure."
It's difficult to imagine where Goldberg could go after his feud with Lesnar, but then he and a certain Monster Among Men do have still have some unfinished business!
