We finally know the reason Kevin Owens why has been off of WWE television.
After months of build, the former WWE Universal Champion defeated the “Monday Night Messiah” Seth Rollins in an excellent back-and-forth match at WrestleMania 36; however, the 36-year-old has been missing from WWE television ever since.
While it was natural to assume that Owens decided to stop working due to the coronavirus situation, it appears that the RAW superstar actually suffered an injury during his match against Rollins at the grandest stage of them all, which was news that Owens revealed himself during an interview with Pierre Houde on Et Le But.
Owens stated that he will undergo an X-ray to determine whether he suffered a fracture or a sprain of his ankle after jumping off the sign onto Seth Rollins. Until there’s confirmation on the nature of said injury, there’s no word on how long the former WWE Universal Champion will be out of action.
Owens isn’t the only man that suffered an injury at WrestleMania 36 as Smackdown star Jimmy Uso was hurt during his Triple Threat Ladder match for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team titles. Jimmy is expected to be out of action for six to nine months.
