Is Ricochet the next WWE star to leave the company?
Earlier this week, WrestleVotes put up a tweet stating that a WWE talent has opted to not re-sign with the company, though no names were given:
Fast forward to a couple days later, and rumors are claiming that Ricochet is the name that reportedly hasn’t re-signed with the WWE. Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt as no credible source has confirmed that the former United States Champion is indeed the name that hasn’t inked a new deal with the promotion.
The RAW star got word on the reported rumor and Ricochet shut down any notion that’s he leaving the company anytime soon:
Late last year, it was reported that former RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman was planning to push the veteran into the main event scene; however, following his squash loss to Brock Lesnar earlier this year, reports claimed that Vince McMahon had soured on the 31-year-old.
Since then, Ricochet has been mostly competing on Main Event and is currently on the losing side of his feud against The Hurt Business. Despite all the rumors, there’s never been any speculation on the former NXT North American Champion looking to exit the promotion once his contract ends.
Ricochet signed with WWE back in early 2018, though no details have come to light regarding how long his current deal lasts.
