Nia Jax has been noticeably absent from WWE television recently, which stems from the former WWE RAW Women’s champion rehabbing an injury according to sources. However, despite Jax being off WWE TV, the former women’s champion is still doing media rounds as she spoke with Sky Sports’ Lock Up podcast where she revealed who her dream opponent is for WWE Evolution, which is WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix:

“If we are bringing back past competitors, I would love to get in the ring with Beth Phoenix, I would love for Beth and Nattie to get to tag against me and my cousin, Tamina I think that would be a fun match.”

Nia and Beth Phoenix had a brief, but fun encounter in the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble, in which Phoenix and Nattie successfully eliminated the powerhouse. Nia goes on to describe how Beth Phoenix paved the way for future wrestlers such as herself:

“Definitely, Beth pioneered the big strong woman as well after Chyna, I would love to get in the ring with her, we had a great moment at the Rumble and the crowd felt it and it was something that we didn’t plan it, but it was cool that the crowd felt it, I know she is on commentary but maybe I will pull her in the ring.”
