This October, SmackDown Live will move to FOX and there have been a lot of rumours about what the network wants from the show. They're clearly planning to make the blue brand a big deal on their network and now Sportskeeda is reporting that they would like President Donald Trump to make an appearance.
"FOX have asked for Trump so I’m trying to write something short and easy for him that makes him look good," a member of the creative team reportedly told the site. "Vince doesn’t like us to say anything bad about Trump so I’m just doing the best I can."
The President has a long history with WWE and is part of the company's Hall of Fame. He sponsored two WrestleMania PPVs and feuded with Vince McMahon in the mid-2000s. Linda McMahon served as Administrator of the Small Business Administration so there's clearly still a relationship between the McMahon family and Trump that could lead to this happening.
It may seem hard to believe that the President of the United States would appear on SmackDown Live but he loves media attention and this could help with those all-important approval scores. Whether it will happen remains to be seen, of course, but we'll keep you updated.
