There's been some speculation about FOX pre-empting or moving Friday's episode of SmackDown because some MLB games have been postponed due to poor weather conditions in the Northeast.

Now, though, it's ben confirmed that MLB coverage will air on Fox Sports 1 and SmackDown will air as scheduled. FOX will move the Ohio State vs. Northwestern college football game to the Big Ten Network and the Astros vs. Yankees MLB game will be on FS1.

In other news, TV Guide has confirmed that the October 25th episode of SmackDown will air on FS1 due to Game 3 of the MLB World Series. This will be the final episode of the blue brand's show before Crown Jewel

Will WWE phone it in with ratings almost certainly set to take a hit? We'll have to wait and see.
