There have been rumblings for weeks now that Mia Yim might be debuting on SmackDown, and it was actually supposed to happen during last Friday's "throwback" episode. Time constraints meant plans changed, but it sounds like she'll return to WWE during tomorrow's edition of the FOX show.
After spending some time down in NXT, Yim was brought to RAW as RETRIBUTION member, Reckoning. Unfortunately, WWE seemingly decided that the group didn't need a female member, and the faction quickly fell apart once it became clear fans found the whole thing to be...well, it was kind of lame.
Now, though, it's said - via Wrestling Observer Live - that Yim is being repackaged for a feud with Carmella. That's also expected to begin as soon as tomorrow night, and it will definitely be good to see the former SmackDown Women's Champion given something significant to do on Friday nights.
At one point, it looked like WWE had plans for her and Billie Kay, but those obviously changed when she was released. That storyline with Reginald also appears to have fallen by the wayside.
It's a shame the company didn't set this up in time for a match at WrestleMania Backlash, though it is, of course, always possible that something is added to the PPVs card at the last minute.
We'll see, but in the meantime, here's a refresher on both Carmella and Mia...
