The Raw after WrestleMania always has its fair share of surprises, and not too long after Rusev made his return to World Wrestling Entertainment, three of the top women's division stars of NXT made their presence known as well.
Iyo Sky was cutting a promo about retaining her Women's World Championship at WrestleMania 41 over Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. She spoke about how she was being overlooked, but now, nobody is going to forget her, and thanked the audience.
She was then interrupted by NXT Women's Champion Stephanie Vaquer, who congratulated Sky on her win and said that she always wants to fight the best. On the spot, she challenged Sky to a match, which Sky was eagerly down for. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce came out to make the match official, and the two had an impromptu great match.
That was, of course, until it was interrupted by Roxanne Perez and Giulia, who went after both Vaquer and Sky seemingly just to make a statement.
Rhea Ripley was next to come out, but she was on the side of the babyfaces and ran off Perez and Giulia, who retreated to the entrance ramp. Ripley then handed the Women's World Championship title belt back to Sky as a sign of respect on top of making the save, but warned her that she is still coming for the title.
It was announced prior to the match that Stephanie Vaquer will defend the NXT Women's Championship against Roxanne Perez on tomorrow's episode of NXT. How she got that title shot wasn't announced, considering she not only didn't win the Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Elimination Match from WWE Stand & Deliver, but walked out of it, and hasn't done anything else to put herself at the top of the food chain as the No. 1 contender.
Giulia, of course, was in the Fatal 4-Way match for the NXT women's title at Stand & Deliver, wherein Vaquer retained over her, Jordynne Grace, and Jaida Parker (by pinfall on Parker). Undoubtedly, she is also looking to get some payback and to try to win back her title.
Since Giulia and Perez both have the same goal, this partnership between them may be a one-night affair, or this may be the start of something else. That remains to be seen.
