We've know for a while now that The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler had been set-up as a placeholder match for SummerSlam, and last night on Raw, The Showoff's real opponent was revealed to be Goldberg.
Ziggler made his way out to the ring to sign his contract, but he really should have read the small print because immediately after, The Miz told him that he wouldn't be facing him or Michaels at the PPV. The crowd began to chant "Goldberg," and the WCW Legend's music hit.
Dolph made like he was going to stand his ground but bailed out of the ring as soon as Goldberg entered. Bill signed the contract and told Ziggler that "he's next."
It's probably safe to assume that this is going to be a very quick match after what went down at Super ShowDown. Then again, Goldberg may want to put on a semi-competitive bout in order to wash away the taste of his disastrous encounter with The Undertaker. We'll find out this Sunday.
