At Crown Jewel earlier this month, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg didn't exactly make good on his promise to murder Bobby Lashley, but he did manage to earn a victory over his rival. Now, that storyline appears to be done, unless WWE plans to have a third match between the two men (Lashley defeated Golberg at SummerSlam).
Prior to the Saudi Arabia PPV, Goldberg did the rounds to promote the match and actually confirmed that he has only one bout left on his current deal with WWE. As a result, if he does face Lashley again, that could be the last we see of him until Vince McMahon decides to use the WCW Legend again. However, Goldberg seems confident in his ability to continue competing.
"I still feel as though I can wrestle," he says in the video below. "I still feel as though I can entertain. So I have one more after this match, I have one more match on my contract and that’s it. We’ll see what happens. You never know."
While he's not exactly at his best, Goldberg is likely going to continue showing up for these Saudi shows as they pay extremely well. The former Universal Champion also remains a draw for WWE and we're still waiting on that Roman Reigns match after the two men didn't end up competing at WrestleMania in the midst of the pandemic last year.
